Sometimes you know, just depending on
like if we have a long road trip and then
if we go to some pretty lit cities,
then I'll take a couple pieces with me.
But other than that, you know, like right now,
I don't have any jewelry on.
I let my clothes and my beard do the talkin'.
What's up, GQ?
I'm James Harden, On The Rocks.
First this will be the Rolex.
This is a basic classic, right here.
I think this is my first Rolex I got.
I bought it for myself.
I was pretty excited about it.
I think I wore it everyday for like a year straight.
My mom got me this for Christmas,
I believe, it was last year.
So she kinda surprised me with it,
'cause it's a pretty expensive watch.
So, I didn't think she would get it for me,
but she surprised me with it.
I got her a Rolex a few years ago.
Every day is Mother's Day for her.
This one, right here, the AP all iced out.
This was a gift for my birthday,
something like three years ago.
I don't know.
I don't know how many.
I'm not here to count either (laughs).
I lost a watch.
I lost a watch.
Still don't know where it is.
So whoever found a watch, or whoever got the watch,
it was a Rolex.
I was hurt.
That's an expensive.
That's a lotta money just to lose.
Pretty cheap about my spendings,
but anytime you would lose any of these pieces, is tough.
So this one, right here, little chain.
I gotta bigger one as well, but this one
I got it from Jason the Jeweler out in L.A.
He hooked me up with this piece.
It's kind of nervous, 'cause like I said,
I don't really like the shine and the bling, bling,
but it's a little shiner, right here.
These little pieces right here, man,
you just rock 'em together.
These four little pieces.
You can wear 'em as a set.
There you go, you just ice 'em out.
You know, just wear all black with this.
Guess they stand out, they speak for itself.
Some casual, but they just look good (laughs).
They look good together.
They make me look good.
That's how it works sometimes.
If I had to rock a chain from a record label,
it'll probably be a DC chain.
So that my man Meek, Free Meek.
Yeah that's my guy.
Rumor was it's a lotta guys that
buy fake jewelry in the league.
Personally, I don't know.
I don't know how other guys bake in houses.
Just feelin' I know that they wanna look like
they got the swag, but really don't have the swag.
So, some people might do it.
You know as an NBA player, or a professional athlete,
a lotta people won't think that your jewelry's fake.
So some people can get away with it.
Me, I can even to that.
I can't hold you.
I'm not gonna wear no fake jewelry.
No, none of that stuff.
I don't need to.
I wanna wear something authentic and real,
then that's what I'm gonna do.
If I can afford it, I'm not gonna wear it,
or even try to wear it.
So that's just who I am.
But other people's different,
so can't speak for them people.
For these Cartier bracelets, one was a gift as well.
The other one I bought, too.
Yeah, I can't even go into all the details about that.
You know, people just, you know,
love is shared around the world.
So, you gotta lotta really good people
that love me and vice versa.
They just go with the, you know, you have a
nice watch on and they seem to compliment the watch.
Or you can just wear 'em without a watch.
You can wear 'em just by theirselves.
Even though I live in Houston, and that's where,
you know, a lotta people wear grills.
I see a lotta like rappers and even
athletes are doin' it now.
They're wearin' grills.
I can't get into that.
I'm just now startin' to wear jewelrys so I'm kinda behind.
Then I'll try to move into like the
more vintage pieces and stuff like that.
Fashion jewelry as an athlete?
For me recently, you know, just adding Chris on the team,
he has a lotta nice really pieces so I'm startin'
to pick up on my swag a little bit on him.
Yeah, I gotta plan for my next piece.
GQ pendent, a championship ring.
A few of those.
Fill this whole table up with it.
That's a different type of level.
That's Boston love, right there.
